hey guys. just finished a cycle of deca. gained 22 lbs. i am 24 years old. 5-7%bf naturally. my question is its 106 down here in the desert since last week. and i cannot eat. is it the heat. i was gorging food while on and even after. now that its so hot i get hunger pangs but i don't want to eat. whats the deal here

question: how do "just finished a cycle of Deca" and "5-7% naturally" fit together? :-)

Are you feeling a sort of letargy beacuse of the heat? How is your blood pressure? The veins expansion caused by a raise of body temp will drop the blood pressure on most people, giving you the feeling of exhaustion and "don't want to do anything".

My advice would be to first try and stay cool, drink plenty of cold fluids. Only after you are comfortable with the environment you can set your mind to eating. Trying to eat while you feel like shit will do you no good

Uhmm, this sounds kinda stupid but I'll tell you what's worked for me. First, sure the heat shuts down a lot of your hunger but if you're keeping yourself hydrated with water that's going to compete what appetite you have left. I switch to something like Iced Tea provides a bit of stimulation and gets the flavor thing going mentally. The other thing is try changing your eating habits. Lot's of times when you make a diet for yourself it means you end up choosing your menu from the same 4 or 5 items. Then your environment changes in some way and your body doesn't react well to it. What I do is wait until the time of day when I'm usually hungriest - late afternoon after I'm done working out- soak up some of that late afternoon heat, and head out to the store. Then while I'm airing myself out with the air conditioning I check out all the things that I could possibly eat but usually don't. There's always something... My quirky habits might not work for you, but it's mostly a mental thing- you know you should eat and you know that eating really isn't that tough of a chore. If you take a few to think about you'll probably find the thing that's going to work even better than my plan. :worried:
