The Power of Being Positive...

b fold the truth

I know that when I train...I try to surround myself with positive things. Cheese yells at me, I pray, loud music, screaming, my general pre-set routines...etc... I keep positive thoughts running through my head...etc...

I consider us a family here...a family where we are all striving towards similar goals and they all revolve around weights.

Just want everyone to remember to keep this board positive. When you see that someone set a PR or something special on a thread...take the time to post on their thread, PM them...and send Karma. We all motivate each other...one person at a time.

Still thinking out loud...

Awesome thoughts man. That's one of the reasons I like to workout alone, so I can think whatever I want to pump myself up to get that last rep or last set in.

hey good post Bfold. however, don't you guys ever get the feeling that nothing works, both in training and in your personal lives? i feel that my personal life, although it really shouldn't, affects my training. if i feel on top of the world, it seems i can lift more then when i feel like utter crap. anyone else think the same way?

yeah its true sagat.....there are days i;ll get to the gym and its being done out of duty or routine as opposed to a zeal for getting stronger, usually when i;ve had a real shitty day, or im just feeling blue

but the days your really perky are the days you really love the gym stuff.

and weirdly enough, if i do increase in weight on a lift it makes me feel on top of the world for that day, and sometimes the day after if its been a good lift. must be the endorphin release :p

i was beginning to think i was the only one for a second there danielson:D it's the same for me (about the weight increase), sometimes when i up the weight on particular exercises (deads come to mind), i feel like i can kick anyone's ass right there and then:)
also on a related note, i sometimes hear people say you should empty your mind while training. i just can't do it; can any of you bros do this? i mean REALLY empty your mind.
