I think this is a great thread and I'm eager to start the ANPB Diet. However, I have one question before I begin - would it be acceptable to rotate between ANPB and All Natural Almond Butter (ANAB)?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

2 Quick questions; I have been on this diet for a little bit and it is awesome, but I was curious:
1. Why does it work? how does it differ from any other lower-carb/ketosis diet
2. what about EFA's? shoudl I supplement any of them?

thanks

you don't have to supplements any of the EFA's, but instead of the ANPB you can use flax oil and whey.

im going to give it a try. i like PB but i dont think i'll be able to eat it all the time like this. im just going to mix in 17 tablespoons of PB and 8 scoops of whey in my blender and sip it throughout the day

Ok , Mr X and everyone I am gonna start my ANPB diet tomorrow , gonna do it for 4 weeks only . My goal is to lose 10 lbs of fat in 4 weeks .

Stats - 220 lbs and 15-16 % bodyfat .

Ok I have a few questions to ask before I lay out my diet Mr X , can you take a look and tell me what you think ?

So , I live in Brazil and the only peanut butter that I could find is : PETER PAN CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER . This is the only one I can find , but since it contains the same nutritional facts that Mr x said , I think I can use this one . Can you guys confirm ?

Also , how should I train on this diet ? Will I have energy for intense lifting ? and high intensity cardio ?

I modified the ratios just a lil bit , MR x said that the best ratio is 55 % fat , 8 % carbs and 37 % protein . I am gonna do it like this : 50 % fat , 8 % carbs and 42 % protein . Is that ok to do ?

Ok here is the diet : tell me what you guys think of it .

meal 1 - Designer Whey ( 2 scoops ) + 2 tablespoons peanut butter

proteins – whey – 37.5 g / PB – 8.5 g – total : 46 g
fat – whey – 3 g / PB - 16.5 g - total : 19.5 g
carbs – whey – 4 g / PB - 5.6 g – total : 9.6 g

meal 4 - Designer Whey ( 2 scoops ) + 2 tablespoons peanut butter

meal 6 - 100 g chicken breast + 3 tablespoong olive oil

protein – 25 g - total : 25 g

TOTAL :

the peter pan peanut butter has processed ingredients does it not?

You need All Natural Peanut Butter. Smucker's makes it. Nothing processed, just peanuts and salt.

I am pretty sure it's not the same thing.

2 problems:

1) peter pan has hydrogenated oils in it to keep the fats emulcified (so you don't get the oil separation like in ANPB). don't get me started on hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated oils. they're very bad for you, and i'd hesitate putting that much of it in my body.

2) companies add sugar to regular peanut butter. sugar = big no no when cutting.

i'd look into mail order to get some ANPB. it will be well worth it.

on a side note, i'm starting this diet in a couple of days. gotta stock up tomorrow and plan everything out. joy!

cheers.

Why would anybody do this type of diet? If you have the will power to eat all that damn PB, you could instead have a much healthier, tastier diet that is more long term that would give you better results (both outside and INSIDE your body). But to each his own I guess.

Hi Mr. X,

I was wondering if this diet works for women also? Or is it just for guys?

I found a peanutbutter which says 100% Natural Sanitarium and It has NO Preservatives, No Stabilisers, No Added Sugar and NO Added Salt.

I would like to lose some bodyfat. I am 5'5'' and 57kg have 25% fat and I would like to go down to 18%. Could I achieve it on this peanut butter diet? (I am so confused by all the types of diets available, I don't know which one to choose anymore!!!:()

Thanks for your help :)
