Sodium intake

Ok so the RDA is 1500mg, I will never even come close to that. What is a good amount for someone who weight trains 5x a week and cardio 3x? I drink about 1.5g of water a day but Im getting like 4000mg of sodium a day, I supplement with potassium + about 1g of potassium in my PWO shake.

Don't have an exact number to give you but I do know Scott Abel (Canadian BB trainer) used to recommend a good amount of daily sodium as an anabolic all year round up until a few days before a show. Unless you're predisposed to blood pressure problems, I wouldn't be overly concerned with consuming too much sodium especially if you're training hard. Unless you have pre hypertension, etc., no need to fear sodium. In fact, it has gotten a bum rap over the years. Besides, sodium is great for the pump.

Don't have time now to get too technical(am doing this post quickly at work :)), but do not fear sodium.
