I want to have 8-10 hours sleeping but I can't !

I always get up early in the morning and I have difficulties falling to sleep :(

I have tried melatonin (0.5 - 1 and 3 mg) but it does nothing !!

I don't want to take benzodiazepins or others drugs which are adictive

What works for insomnia ?
5 HTP ? kava kava ? valerian root ? ...
 
I've had good luck with melatonint, but I have to take at least three 3mg tablets for it to work. Have you tried that?

Also read that chamomile tea works for some people.

and about 40 other things

and i still dont get more than 3-4 hours sleep a night tops

i am a insomniac and there is nothing i could do about it.
its fuckin terrible. if anyone has any other things they can suggest me to try, plz let me hear it.
 
Benadryl works great for 8-10 hours of sleep but make sure when you get up to take some caffeine such as vivarine to wake you up or else you will be dragging the entire day. Also melatonin was good but it gave me a bad headache everytime

2 grams of tryptophan and 2 grams of GABA puts me in a coma for about 4 hours. So totally relaxed that I don't need anymore than that each night. I can only use it about once every 5 days. I got a very high tolerance to it. Halcion(rx) is something else that I've had good results with. Short term stuff. Make sure you're ready for bed when you take it. Fast acting. About 4 hours again. Melatonin, Valerian, Kava Kava, etc. doesn't do crap for me. I tried them all. I'd start out with the recommended dose and then double it looking for results. After about a week I'd end up swallowing the whole bottle at once. Nothing....

Okay, I've been using Adipokinetix combined with Twinlab diet Fuel... and even though I don't take more than 3 of each per day, and never later than 3pm... this stuff will have me up all night if I don't take something.

I have tried over the counter stuff: Benadryl, Melatonin, and Doxylamine Succinate (Unisom)... I have found that by combining these three, I can use very small doses of each.

For example, I might combine one half of a Benadryl tab (12.5mg, recommended dose 2 tabs), one half of a Melatonin tab (1.5mg, tabs are 3mg), and one quarter of a Doxylamine Succinate tab (dosage is 1 tab).

I find that this combination is very effective for me, however I have to take it about 1 1/2 hrs before I want to go to bed, and no later than around 8-9pm (I get up at 5:30am) , if I take it later, I'll wake up with a little bit of a Benadryl "hangover".

Also, I find that I do not build tolerance to this combination like I do when taking these supplements alone. There is no "addiction", except maybe psychological if you come to rely upon it for getting to sleep over a long period of time.

This usually works for me:
1-10mg Ambien +
2-25mg Benadryl (Diphenhydramine HCL)
Take with water on a fairly empty stomach.

If that doesn't help, cut out all caffine by 6:00pm.
Then add 2-3mg melatonin 30min before taking the above mix.
