Shake Ideas

Greetings all :)

I'm a newbie to this site, but I've heard positive things, so I thought I'd check it out. If any of you have a protein shake recipe you'd be willing to share, I'd love to hear it. I have a few basic ones I drink, but I'm all for variety.

Two scoops whey protein.
Two tablespoons peanut butter.
One scoop Resse's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream
Eight ounces milk.
Chocolate syrup.


This obvioulsy assumes you are trying to gain mass.
 
God I wish I ever had to put on mass.... ice cream, chocolate syrup, pancakes. man you guys are lucky!!

I really wish I could take advantage of that first shake idea! Good luck in here with finding what you need. :D People are very friendly and very helpful. The Diet discussion board has plenty of recipes for just about everything.

when i'm at work and don't have access to a blender, i just mix vanilla whey with water, some apple pie spice (a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice), and a packet of equal.

otherwise i blend it up with crystal light, ice cubes and some kind of fruit...bananas, blueberries, strawberries...whatever.

i think arioch's is the winner so far though! :p
 
Or, protein, fruit of your choice, within reason, no need to overload on fructose, blend. Experiment.

When in hurry: protein + water, stir, chug.
In slightly less of a hurry: protein + milk, blend, chug.

The colder the fluid you are mixing it in, the longer it takes to blend. To mix evenly, if I am going to add ice, I generally mix the majority of it, the blend the ice in last.
 
2 scoops vanilla whey
1 scoop chocolate whey
15g glutamine
2tbs peanut oil (i use the stuff on the top of my natty pb)

...instant peanut butter cup shake
 
I love buying frozen fruit (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and peaches) and using them in vanilla whey. They give a nice texture. I also like throwing frozen fruit into the shakers before I leave for work. It keeps them chilly and I get a treat at the end. ;)
