Hey GG. Try to relax and remain calm.....like when you are defusing a bomb and the world is at it's mercy and you know your stuff (I have to stop catching reruns of 24). I am in the same boat as school, work and my son are taking their toll. In the last week I have averaged 1 trip to the gym a week. I feel ya.
The bodyweight exercises are great. Pushups, dips, baby squats, isometric contractions, sprint training outside, band pushdowns attached to the door....squat thrusts.....handstand pushups......they are all great exercises.
A lot of times bodybuilders in particular are obsessive about their training and think the body looks terrible when we miss 1 training day. Try not to think that way. 3 days a week is plenty to maintain and also build if you combine things such as legs/abs....back/bis/rear delts.......chest/tris and front and side delts. When I have to condense my workouts that is the routine that I follow as a bodybuilder.
Try not to get worried. You have trained for so long that you will not regress in the least...and from what I have read the last couple of months, you might benefit a little from a little recoupe time on your leg.
As for the hubby, you know you and I are in the same boat so I really do feel for you their.
I hope things get better and maybe I can stop in at EF a little more now that in 3 weeks my stupid class will be done. Take good care,
Chuck...the fat man in a little jacket (for those of you who have seen Tommy Boy!)
