Okay I need ideas this is where I lose it.........

My kids are out of school. They are ages 4,6 and 8. SO my workouts, housework and everything else is WAY OUT OF CONTROL :worried: I can't get to the gym every day as planned on some weeks..some weeks I can..It depends on "their" schedule....so any ideas so I don't fall off the wagon...Do you think I can combine some body parts on the weeks I can't there everyday? I'm a mess today just a mess
 
Sure you can combine body parts......Like: Back/Biceps, Chest/Triceps, Legs/Shoulders or Leg, then Shoulders/Abs, etc....

Can you do cardio-type things as a family too?? Like rollerblade, bike riding, make them run & you chase them till they puke??
 
Been doing some of that...but for me to get to the gym 5 days a weeks might not work this week but might the next....Kids and a freaking jackass of a hubby mess me up LOL

Well, go when you can, combine body parts as necessary and maybe pick up some DBs/exercise bands to keep around the house for when you can't get there.....

I bought a set of those bands to pump up for my show last year & I have 1 set of 15lb DBs -- when I was stuck in the house, they covered a lot......You should be able to improvise on the rest - bleach bottles, laundry detergent bottles, etc.....
 
How are your knees? Can you do jump squats? Super'd with jump lunges? super'd with Plyo pushups... Elevated Dips (feet on bed/dresser weight on lap, DIPPP)
 
Buns took it where I was thinking - might be fun to explore some bodyweight type training -- I'd be careful w/ the dips on an unstable surface (e.g. bed) but you can do all sorts of stuff like that -- decline pushups, feet on the couch, pyramid your reps. All sorts of stuff.

The bands are big too - all the stuff they do in those PowerPump classes -- a broomstick, some bands, fit ball, etc.

I'm just dying to get someone to push / pull their car or truck back & forth -- KILLER leg workout. Pullling might require a little harness & trailer hitch setup....
 
My personal vote is for splurging on adjustable dumbells or powerblocks and a small bench maybe a doorway chinning bar ... and tell husband that it's half his DNA there, he can get in there and watch the kids reliably.

But then I'm old and curmudgeony :rolleyes:
 
Shit...I have one of those hubby's that think I should only go to the gym during the day becasue it messes with his time when I go at night,.,,no mind we are not talking at this point do to a work related issue and last night I told him I was about done with the kids since I had my 3 and 2 extra all day....he looked at me and said you'd be one after 15 min.....HELLOOOOOOOOOOO I stay home with them all day and now I have no break becasue they are out of school!!!!!! Oh iam going to the gym...be back
