Not new to the gym but i have no routine...

Hi, i was looking for the best forums on working out and seems this is it. Like the tittle says i aint really new to the gym as far as going to one, but i mean i notice that i really dont have a special routine, i just end up doing 3 sets of 10 of everything in the gym >_> and run for 12 mins >_< ....

So, i wanted to ask for some guidance as far as a workout routine that would help me loose about 20-30 pounds off. I am 5.7" tall and weight around 170lbs, since i ain't that tall dont let my weight full ya i aint slim looking. I was wondering what can i do in order to have firmer chest rather than a flabby one. Since i dont have much stamina i cant run for very long so, i wanted also some tips on how to build up a longer stamina to increase my running work outs. Oh and also i was wondering if there was good protein supplements in order to help me workout longer and just give me an overall help on loosing weight and help increase my muscles resistance.

Thanks

make 2 posts 1 in the weight training board and 1 in the diet one which this one is in and should get assistance from both. but any routine will help lose weight and firm up areas of the body but without a change in diet the lifting alone wont get you where you want to be.

whats a typical days worth of food consumption look like for ya
like
breakfast 730 am bowl of ceral blah blah blah
lunch 1130 am
snack
supper
break it down that way people will can gauge what needs to be changed and added

do the same with the work out thread but post what lifts your doing and experience and goals.

Right now I am on my cutting cycle. Surprisingly, I am actually doing somewhat better while lifting since going on my low carb diet, even though every 4th day I have a high carbs day. I usually eat 15% carbs and 50% protein and 10% fats and every 4 days I would eat 30% carbs, however most of the carbs I eat are fibrous carbs and I try to avoid sugars as much as possible. I ended up losing 15 pounds in the past month. I also do a lot of cardio; I jog 5, sometimes 6 or more miles per day. I ALSO do aerobics every other day and yoga on my non aerobics days. Every Sundays I work on chest & tri's, Mondays on my legs & back, Wed's on my shoulders & wrists & Fridays on my abs/obliques & biceps. Surprisingly when I'm lifting, like I previously said, I'm seeing nothing but slight improvements since being on this huge cutting cycle.

I'm just sharing my routine as a sample, but it all depends on your goals which it's important to build your own program around yourself that best fits you.
