MP3, CD, minidisk, radio, or cassette tape?

What do you all use in the gym to keep you going? I'm debating on an mp3. I don't know if i'll keep up with downloading different songs all the time, cd's are pretty bulky, etc.. Does anyone even buy cassette tapes anymore? ; )

Cassette tapes???? They are just as bulky as CD's. It's really easy to download mp3's or burn CD's, I like a variety, not just one band the entire time.

MP3 player all the way. No worries about skipping. And you can make whatever playlist you desire...

:(

I'm the lone geek with cassette tapes? :lmao:
I jogged with a cassette player a few years back before the MP3 & I just still do. I sometimes listen to aerobics tapes - I've actually taught in studios that didn't have CD players, so I needed tapes.

I make mixes form CD's, so I have the variety. I don't mind the bulk, I got myself a little belt pack, so it's no problem. I suppose I'm also used to wearing the belt pack & having it tied to my head from teaching with the microphone headset & belt pack for the receiver.

I figured most would say MP3, but it only holds about an hours worth right? It seems most convienent to change up the songs but I don't see myself that organized yet!

Most have a slot where you can hold extra memory. The memory cards vary in size. You can easily get another hour of music that way...

this is a subject I am an expert on...

I like to run, so cd's were a no-no beacuse of skipping...so i used to burn cd's and transfer them to tape. I am very into house/techno music..have turntables, records etcetc so I would always make my own mixes.

That takes alot of time...so then I got a mini disk player because they don' skip. I had alot of problems with it, it wouldn't always record, and it also broke.

This year they got these ez-zone things at my gym, so you buy the headphones and on any machine you can watch tv or listen to your own cd's, which is very cool.

For my b-day last october I got an MP3' player...best thing I ever used. It's light, you can transfer files in a minute...I have the Rio one and I upgraded the memory to 128MB (it comes with 32)...

there are MP3 players with a hard drive (6 Gb I think)

==> hours of music at CDs quality
