I actually flip the breakfast thing and do 4 egg whites, 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 tbsp peanut butter as my last meal of the day and it's work well for me...I drop the PB when it's time to get ready for shows...just a thgouht.
Yep - if you put your carbs where you will utilize them the most - usually at the beginning of the day when you've essentially been fasting for 8 hrs since your last meal, and then put the fat serving as your last meal - slower metabolism rate so it will "last" a bit longer, reduce the time between that & your next morning meal.
I added a protein shake post-work-out and then ate dinner about an hour-hour and a half later. That got my extra meal and extra protein in. To make them taste better, I use lots of ice, water, strawberry protein powder, and a few frozen strawberries in a blender. The consistency is slushier. If the taste is too horrible that way, or you don't want the fruit, I would suggest use mixing with water and gulpping it as fast as possible!!
The other suggestion I have is making a 'mocha' -- instant coffee, choc. protein powder, and milk or water and ice. Yummy in the AM after morning cardio!!
Good for you, Girlie!!! Awesome job! A few others here don't like or can't "handle" protein shakes. Go to the "favorite protein shake" thread. Bunny's protein shake sounds like something you would go for.
