Losing too much weight

I have been eating 6-7 meals a day. Lifting 4 days a week, and running 1 mile about three days a week. Now heres the problem, Ever since I have Been doing these things (Since last summer) I have gone from weighing 187 to now 168, Im 6 foot tall and feel to skinny now. Can that little amount of running burn that much weight off, or is there something in my diet that is doing this?

Diet:

breakfast: 4 egg whites, toast, banana
snack: fruit
lunch: Pasta, bread
snack: fruit or protein shake
dinner: Fish or red meat, rice, potatoes
snack: turkey sandwich

Probably both. Running burns too many cals so isn't the most ideal form of cardio if you are trying to preserve LBM.

Also, for someone on a calorie deficit, your diet is too low in protein, which would also to your muscle loss.

Bump up your protein intake and you won't lose as much muscle.

What are your sources of essential fats? Veggies?

I agree. I'd bump up the protein intake and eat a bit more. Running a mile 3X a week doesn't promote muscularity, but if you eat a bit more, you can still run and compensate for it by eating.......clean food.

Its hard to tell whats goin on without the macros. I'm in the same boat with you, I did the exact same thing, only in a shorter, 3mo, timeframe. (lol same weights too).

whats your intensity on the mile?

how are your lifts progressing?

What are your goals?

have you ever mesaured your body fat? like, before you started and now? that could be a real eye opener into WHAT have you really lost so far...

Your diet also seems to low on calories in General, and as D_J said, too low in prot. Any idea how many cals in this thing?

Well im pretty sure it was my running that was doing it. I cut off any running or cardio and I already have gone up 5-6 pounds. So I guess as long as I run im gonna lose a lot of weight.

watch out for plateaus. Your body will adjust to your training program, so keep changing it every once in a while.
