Kfc

last night i went to kfc and ordered a bucket and went to town , I know that fried chicken is bad cause of the oil but the commerciel says that each piece has 40 grams of protein and like 10 grams of carbs. Is that really bad? im currently bulking ..

You are better off having carbs than eating that garbage. I love KFC it tastes awesome, but their new ads are just asking for a lawsuit, you know how many people on the stupid atkins diet are going to get fat eating kfc, because it has low carbs. Its still loaded with calories and saturated fat. BTW, carbs don't make people fat, excess carbs can be stored as fat. Learn the difference between good carbs and bad carbs, memorize the gi and you should do well. I eat KFC as a cheat sometimes, even when bulking I avoid it, cause I try to minimize fat gain.

I eat KFC all the time, but i pull off the skin. They even have the nutrition facts of a breast with the skin pulled off. i think it was like 30 protien 4-5 fat and no carbs. Good stuff, I love it. Good wit the baked beans too.

Its a good idea to take the skin and breading off, but the problem IMO is the oil they use. You could take a napkin and get some more of the oil off too. I don't believe it only has 4 or 5 grams of fat, even with the skin and breading removed. Whenever I go to KFC, all the people in line are 300+ lbs, and its not muscle. BTW, my favorite thing at KFC is the potato wedges, which is very bad for you. I also like the colonel chicken strips.

If you're not on a CKD KFC is a big no-no

If you're bulking up, as you say, I don't see how a one time KFC would be a problem - just fit it into your daily caloric intake and you'll be fine.

On the other hand, if dieting, I would HIGHLY suggest against it. But again, even if that was the case, you already ate it and even if I said it was the worst in the world you couldn't take what you did back - so don't worry about it. :)

i.e. commercial. If you look at the commercial and the guy asked "wow you look good, what have you been doing?" The other chap says "eating chicken." Suddenly it says in BIG letter 11g carbs and 40g protein. Next time you see the commercial, look at the small text at the bottom of the page. :(
