I'm still around, but found it's MUCH easier to do my log in Word via a thumbnail drive so I can update it at work as I go instead of writing everything down & typing it up here -- got to be way too time consuming and my time has become quite valuable......

checking up! As long as things are good!

I'm jealous for various reasons:
1) You ate a large cookie in the last few days and I didn't. :chomp: ;)
2) AVEDA makeover!!! OMG, I  Aveda -- just reading your post I'm smelling the products I could be immersed in. :D

And as for your knees and recovery and this "orthopedic doctor"... good Lord, that is so frustrating! I'm happy the oil felt good; I'm annoyed that he isn't more proactive or sympathetic to your case it seems.

And the week from hell should be over soon! Hang in there, girl! :rose:

Jens when you had your knee operation...what was the recuperation time?
Mauricio still has his knee "open" the initial wound was operated on and seemed to be healing ok...BUt when his fever started, and Drs realized there was another part of his leg
outer quad contaminated they made a lateral insition to drain and clean area affected, and he is being treated as if he has ostiomelitis (bone infection) because MRI came out with a possibility of it being infected...
So knee still has not healed and he has part of the initial wound still open, and will not be sutured until MRI comes back clean...
No after the whole story...
If you had knee surgery how long was in inmobilized if it was ever...
I am just trying to get all feedback...about time of scarring process...and normal life so wound will not open up..makes sense?

You ate a cookie!!!!!

That cookie seems SOOOOOOOOOOOO long ago!! LOL I want another one!

And the makeover was cool (and FREE)...I'm trying something new with my hair so we'll see.....

Yeah, my ortho is, erm, interesting.....TONS of people have told me he has NO bedside manner & is an ass but he's the best around here......but he still bugs me.....

And the A/P guy is back!! So he's doing his job now, so I don't have to!! Yay!!

You ate a cookie!!!!!

Yes I ate a cookie!! And loved every minute!!! Oh and I didn't share!!

I never had an open wound really - my surgery was laproscopic.....and I was only immobilized for about 1 week......Now someone I knew from a ski forum had an injury where someone hit her & shattered her leg and she had to have the whole thing screwed together with a rod that was left attached to the oustside of her leg for some time & she had open wounds....I can't remember how long she was like that - at least a month I think....His injury sounds more like that than mine - mine was nothing in comparison it seems.... :worried:

Hope he heals up soon!!

Hmmmmm a cookie and then logging for a couple days......Jen..drop the cookies....step back from the cookies
