Ideas for an alternative to Deadlift tonight?

I have been hitting Deadlifts hard on 5x5 for a good few weeks now and am feeling like I want to give my body a break from them tonight. Have been hearing that this has helped a few people progress their deads too so Im keen to give something different a go…

I was thinking Good mornings, some sort of Clean, or maybe just Hyper Extensions?

Anyone got any ideas?

PS. If it makes any difference I will be doing back after shoulders, the first exercise of which will be Standing Military, for which I effectively Clean the weight up to start, so I will do at least 5 before I get to back!

Exactly what spatts said. . .

heavy good mornings. . .even if you don't have the chains, you can still make it work.

Perform these inside the cage. . for safety. . set the safety bars near the parallel position.

you will be fine my friend. . I don't have chains, but I still train heavy as possible.

make sure your back is kept flat and stick the ass out.

If you hit these properly, your erectors, ass, and hams will take an incredible amount of stress.
 
Hmmmmm, do I want to stress them if im taking a week off from heavy Deads, or would it be better to use the time working on speed with Cleans (maybe hang cleans as im also working shoulders), or speed deads?
 
I agree, probs go with goodmornings as that is a move I havnt used much recently, just wondering if speed work would have some benefit...
