All the crap asside, please, no flames on this, this not about politics, its about home.
I can not tell you how much I have missed my country. I love the US for all its problems, it really is a place of such beauty, such bounty, such spirit.
I miss home. I am looking forward to being home. I will finally step onto ground zero for the first time since 9/11. Cleared it this afternoon with the office of the commisioner. Just got the email from a family member that will be going with me.
We lost so much that day. It will be good to see where I lived every day, to see what has defined us all. I am not so sure I care to cerebralize it or to try and set any limits to what I should expect of the site, or of myself while there.
I just know I am coming home. It feels good. It's filled with hope and fired with determination.
I look forward to meeting as many of you lunatics as I can get away with, no more lost time. Let's cook something and share it.
