You always hear about intesity is the key to growth. Well I have always done my own thing in the gym. And always wondered how it measured in intensity compared to others. Well this other body building friend of mine worked back with me last night. He always started with heavy bent over rows and I said no lets start with pull ups. We pushed each other(kinda of competitevily(sp) to do more failure reps at the end of the set. With a total of four different exercise three sets each.

As we were walking out he said now I see why you have grown so much in two years. I was stoked.

alway nice to hear compliments from others who know their shit...

Its times like those that urge you to look deeper and fuel intense workouts....

LOL i guess you know if you are digging deep when you finish your set and you feel like you are going to puke.

I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong, I lift for myself and not for others, but it's always nice to get compliments or looks of awe when lifting. I'm one of those people that can lift a lot more than I look like I can. Today when I was benching, some guy comes up to me and asks me how old I am and if I play college football. After I told him I didn't he goes that's one impressive bench(btw it was nothing crazy, 365x4). Anyways, I must say I walked around with my head a little higher.

My bench is shit right now. The only thing i can brag about is my deadlift. BTW(damn don't even know what that means), I am only 19...got time..

I love intensity. I see my improvements, but I don't think much of them compared to my goals... so I dig deeper in each workout. My workout partner "JC_Girfter" knows all about it.

I walk into the gym with a purpose and leveknowing that I did something good... if I leave without that feeling, it is a wasted day.
