i feel like my stomach is going to explode on a daily basis and I still cant reach 4000 calories on a consistant basis. I can usually get around 3500 but i'm sick the whole day. Needless to say I've been sick for about the last 2 months while i've been bulking. I need some ideas for some calorie dense foods, preferable high in protein, that would still be considered eating clean. The most calorie dense food I can find is natural peanut butter and i cant eat too much because of all the fat. any ideas?

I know, i love peanut butter! :D but i think there should be some limit. I try not to go over 4 tblspoons a day. Thats roughly 28-30g fat The other problem i have with peanut butter is that its carbs and fats in the same meal, which i've read is very anabolic to the gut... or am i mistaken??

Peanut Butter doesn't have many carbs, 5 net, which is not much. Add 1-2tbsp. of Flaxseed/MCT/Olive oils after your meals and you can add up to 1200cal. per day.

While we're on the subject...are unsaturated fats better than no fats at all? I'm not talking for bulking or anything like that...just for health. I realize that you need a certain amount of your omega-3's and 6's...but is more better? Or will it just make you fat?

I think i may have found the weak spot in my diet, i'm not eating enough fat. When are the best times during the day to eat fat? Post workout is a definate no no, what about pre workout and late at night a couple hours after my workout?

MCT's pre-workout is something to look into.

I don't think one is better than the rest. You need 10-20% saturated fat in your diet to provide for healthy testosterone production. Thus, I would say it's fairly safe to take up to 40% from saturated, then Mono-olive oil, then Omegas-Udos and Flax.

Mix it up....

There are no "best" times. However, try doing it after every meal (or extra w/ every meal) except for Post workout.

What about the "try to avoid fats AND Carbs in the same meal?" that a lot of people are doing now? Including myself. I`ve been having protein and carbs or protein and fats seperately throughout the day. Is it not THAT important?

It`s MUCH easier to throw everything in at the same time. lol
