I wake up everyday at 4am to then be at the gym by 5am. I only do ONE hour of weightlifting. Question is.....should I take a high glycemic carb before going to the gym? Or a low glycemic carb?
Some people tell me that I should take a high glycemic carb. Only because of the time I wake up. It's the first meal of the day and I should jack up insulin before lifting weights. So that I can be up and alert and have FULL strength. Downside is that I might crash while in the gym.
And then there are others that tell me that I should take a low glycemic carb. Only so that I do not crash while I'm lifting. And to reduce fat gain. Downside is that I might have less strength.
They all make sense really. And because of this..I am confused.
