I'm just being brutally honest. I'm a very fair and honest person. I don't walk into a job looking for things to take. But when I start getting dicked around, the gloves come off.

just make sure when the "gloves come off" you don't get a fist shoved down your throat.............just sounds like you enter a workplace with a predisposed chip on your shoulder - which is both childish and confrontational. (just being brutally honest)

I've never had a fist shoved down my throat. I would welcome it though as it would make for a wonderful lawsuit. I agree with your facts but I don't understand your anger. I'm just talking about my own experiences.

When I worked at a certain big company, my boss would lay into me about 3x a week. It was obvious he needed to vent (very high stress job) but I was tired of being his whipping boy. Did I steal or do anything wrong? No. One day I was at a coworkers house and it was full of brand new computer parts and other equipment. I asked him where it came from and he said he took it from work. He also told me about the other guys we worked with who were taking things too. I could have easily joined in and used the excuse about my boss shitting on me, but I didn't. Now if I get used (i.e. Work without pay/ compensation) that's when I get mine.

i was just putting everything into simple terms so we can stop commenting on a long thread that was started by someone who likes to steal protein shakes (must like to give oral then - cause those shakes are free too)

or i suppose that you're the one in ten thousand people who's never banged into work when you're not really sick (stealing) or never made a personal call from work (stealing) or any one of ten thousand other examples that i could bore you with.

a protein drink costs ~ 50 cents. so if i gave away 150 of them per week that would cost me a whoping 75 bucks. i'd much rather get a good days work out of an employee who pilfers ~ 50 cents per week from me than having an unproductive employee.

Awsome boss, Sounds like your probably getting ripped off pretty good if you dont think much of this... I dont know ANYONE who would think it would be OK for 150 employees to steal a drink every week, thats braindead.
