i love this thing except it tends to really char my chicken breast and salmon. i actually like the taste of it that way but i have heard there are carcinogens in the burnt/charred parts of meat. anybody have a GF and know how to keep it from charring??

Put the meat on when the Foreman is cold, and if it is a thick peice of meat you can plug it and unplug it every 3-5 minutes to keep it from getting too hot.

I just bought George Foreman grill and it sucks that you can´t grill both side of your meat at the same time if it is too thin for the grill.... like hamburgers

theres a better way to cook chicken...cut the chicken into pieces maybe as big as your thumb, then but it all in a pan and add some non stick spray add lemon pepper or what ever seasoning you like...cook till its a little brown not burned....its much more tender.

I use my foremen grill for 5 meals a day. Chicken, Sausage, Bacon, Steak, and Burgers all cook very vell on the foremen grill. If one side of your chicken is being burned, its probably the top side right? I just flip it over half way and that takes of the problem.

Margo- What?
You cant grill both sides of your meat at the same time if it's too thin? Is it just me or does that make no sense. Nothing can be TOO thin- I can see maybe too thick but that would be one helluva thick burger.

I think that means charred as in cooked over charcoal...

He's right... from what I've heard, any meat that is cooked until it is charred/burnt can possibly contain carcinogenic compounds. Sucks, but its true. I eat over a pound of meat every day, I dont need to hear shit like that.
