Frustrated.

moving this to the correct forum.

work, family, money, weather, other unexpected things can keep you out of the gym.. thats why i have a 1 hour slot everyday for the gym that everyone knows about.. that is MY ONE HOUR. everyone knows if they want to bother me they have to wait until after that 1 hour to bother calling me.

You are training 4 days per week and feeling that you aren't getting enough out of it?

I can't stand commercial gym atmospheres. I like to walk into my own gym and set things on fire as I see fit.

Not so much as I'm not getting enough out of it more along the lines of too much rest in between.
I used to go Monday to Friday an now that 4 days is a stroke of luck. Just having trouble getting my schedule on point

I have four kids and make the gym about 5 days a week....I dont wanna hear it...

and I have to concede my other halfs gym time..which is longer and daily...because hes insane

4 days a week is plenty..I recommend upper and lower splits instead of going nuts with splits..
rest in between is GOOD not bad
my gym has daycare and allows over 14 on the gym floor with a parent
I wont however put my 1 yr old in the gym daycare because I feel shes just too young and can't advocate for herself if theres any sketchiness
I had a home gym that was huge and awesome before my house burned down, I havent replaced it

my point is...quit whining

Fuck your hat.
I'm a new dad at 22 to a baby who was born 2 months premature he has extenuating needs that I'm not complaining about. Theres a lengthy commute to my gym so when I get off at 7 I can't make it on time.
And it's also hard to find someone to babysit.
My point is.. Stop hatin and give your head a shake

To be honest though I didn't take what you said to heart shirl, just there's things out of my control but I cant help being frustrated

I hear ya...I get frustrated daily man
my second daughter was 6 weeks preemie so i know what its like...really do

I have no family in state..so no sitters
I dont have the extra money right now to just pay someone to watch the kids
sometimes I make the gym at 6 am, sometimes 8 pm

my kids range in age from almost 16 yrs to just shy of a yr old. 4 daughters
and guess who gets to cook clean and handle all the appointments for everyone
I was working ft but Im down to pt these days
when I was working 60 hrs a week (up until a month ago) I could only make the gym and bikram at around 8 at night..IF I didnt have a late appointment

your schedule doesnt look bad for gym time honestly. It has to be an appointment with yourself but I suspect youre more like my husband in the aspect that gym time is also escape time and youd like to go daily
I feel that...I really do
and don't worry...I didn't take you tellin me to fuck off to heart either :)

I'm a stay at home dad and part time stripper so for a long time I had to work around my son's schedule and when he could come to the gym with me. My gym is a 1 room, holes in the roof, no electricity, no water, no toilet kind of place. Not exactly kid friendly...

You will get it all worked out and you will be tougher for it.

You should think about getting a full set of bands to train with at home on the days that you can't get to the gym. You can do basically every exercise with a set of bands.
