First Cycle Diet for 3900 calories @ $5 a day

Nothing replaces solid food, ever.

But, to each his own. :)

I'm not even gonna go there.

Good luck in creating an interest for such a boring/sub-par approach.

You might as well stop taking multi vitamins then. And steroids.

Active Cardio and lifting. First time cycle to mostly gain LBM. I expect this to probably be my one bulk cycle before cutting back down for racing season. The heavy diet is encessary because I will be up to about 50 miles run per week, ~3 miles swam per week, and 200+ miles biked a week on top of the lifting for two hours each afternoon.

Oats - 400g
Flax Seed Oil - 90g
Dextrose - 100g
Skim Milk - 4 cups (blend with 100g of oats)
Whey Concentrate - 170.4g
Whey Isolate - 85.2g

Total: 3900
Carb% - 42.2
Protein% - 29.8
Fat% - 28.1

How does the ratio look? I weight 165-170 right now though sometimes I slip to 162 if I do not eat as much as I need.

Daily cost not counting the Milk and Flax seed oil: $4.03.

This diet is like the chick outside who just wanted to blow me for $5. She's too busy wanting crack to worry about giving me decent blow job .

Your diet falls very short as well.

Rather than give the diet some negative feedback, why not be a bit constructive and tell us what you see wrong with it? Either that, or shut up. :)

Synpax, the diet consists of: Milk, ANPB, 4 slices WW bread, 8 oz. steak, 12 oz. pasta, 1 tbsp flax oil, 7 fish oil caps (to get the DHA/EPA missing from the Flax), a scoop of whey in my morning glass of milk, 8 tsp dextrose and 1 scoop whey in my PW shake, a pre-workout shake with creatine and 1 scoop of whey, annnnd... I think that's it.

Wait no. A can of tuna, 2 tbsp mayo. I think that's it. I can check when I get home from work. I'm not thinking clearly right now. x.X

No reason you can't fulfill your amino requirements with shakes, I take in over 60% of protein from shakes. Meats are an inferior sources of protein to dairy and eggs based on the most up to date measure of protein quality. That being said, I still believe in consuming meats for the other nutrients outside of protein.

I personally like it Synpax. My diet has me at 3500 cals for $4.19 a day, but it's also whole food. Actually, I only get about 400 calories from a glass of milk and two scoops of whey every other day.

I think your way is a bit more conveinent. It's just a matter of dealing with carbs. Protein I love, fats are easy enough to down, but carbs...uch! I can't eat that much pasta or oats anymore. I'm doing it, but it's such a pain. And to buy sauce all the time is too expensive so I have to eat plain, bland pasta.

Hmm, maybe I should try oatmeal shakes. It'd be hard to bring those to school, though.

I hear ya on the sauce thing. But - instead of buying marinara sauce or whatever you can buy 8 oz cans of tomato sauce for $0.50 or so. Put that, and 8 ounces of water (if you want more sauce) into a bowl and season the shit outta it. Pour in garlic powder, chilli powder, whatever gets your taste buds going. It's cheap.

Can you break that down into a spreasheet? I am not familiar with the nutritional info on some of them and the costs.

I'll be postingup my modifiable/extensible spreadsheet for Synpax Diet, Third Edition.

OK ,
1. The only protein source from REAL food is the skim milk. And the only protein source that's listed is dairy products. No eggs , nuts or sunflower , no fish or meat...
2. Dextrose... What's with the 100g of sugar?? Why not grape juice or apple juice or orange juice that does have sugar but has many other health benifits as well such as potassium, vitamin c, antioxidants, bioflavanoid complex... Mix the powder in that to give your shakes carbs.
3. 170g of whey concentrate?? I guess you did say you were going cheap
4. Very little monounsaturated fats, little Omega 6 that can raise hdl and lower ldl

On a side note I'm sure you diet guru's knew this but I picked up a box of cereal called "kashi" go lean that has 13g or protein per serving 10g of dietary fiber and a whole 1 gram of fat. The 13g of protein is soy and gluten. other vegetable proteins such as rice and wheat (gluten) I forgot to list above. Dietary fiber can also drop cholesterol and increase hdl

Chewy, that's a good idea. I just usually thought it took a real long time to cook those cheap sauces. If I can try Synpax's idea for an oats shake, then I'll use those over pasta - no need to cook anything that way. I'd just blend a 9 lb. box of oats and store them in tubs in advance, then throw into a blender with some water or milk and drink as necessary.

What exactly do you do, Syn? How much milk : oatmeal, if you had to make it a ratio?

Oh, I can send you my diet as a spread via e-mail or direct IM. You know my name on AIM, I believe. If not I'll contact you and let you see it.
