Double-Split PWO Question

BIGMIke007 said:
I always sip on BCAA's and glutamine while I train ..... otherwise my approach is very similar to yours.

Do u notice a difference when u do this versus not?

I did a double split for a while and really enjoyed it. Fuel prices and time restraints have stopped this style of workout for the time being. I basically did two pwo shakes after each workout.

I did notice my afternoon workout lacked the POP of the first workout. Pumps weren't as good, focus, energy, etc.

i currently do the following with no split (4 on / 1 off):

Chest/Biceps
Back/Triceps
Shoulders/Traps
Legs

I haven't decided on a split yet. It wouldnt even make sense for me to do it unless I got more done in less time.

You sort of answered my question there but what are you hoping to get out of doing a double split besides more done in less time.

Are you looking to shorten the morning workout?

Trying to shock the muscle and just do something different?

that current workout i listed are 4 individual sessions (chest & bi's at the same time).

i think when i am "on" i can recover quick enough to utilize it.

I have been entertaining a double-split routine for my next cycle.

I currently have 1.5g KA & 50g of Whey for pre-workout and 1.5g KA, 10g BCAA's with glutamine, 60g of WM all in water and then 50g of whey 20 minutes later for my PWO.

1.5g KA, 10g BCAA's with glutamine, 60g of WM all in water

Whats the WM?

If I took that much protein in such a short period of time you'd probably read that my wife was killed via dutch oven

I'm doing the same training split right now.

You train 4 days in a row?

Also Id add the split for your back day. The one AAP suggested looked really good to me.

Yes I do. The day off is actually in the middle between back & shoulder day. then after legs i go right back to chest.

when i am on cycle i can go as many as 10-12 days in a row without needing a day off and make great progress. i recover so quick.

i dont think i have ever seen AAP's split.
