The fat will also impair the speed with which your carbs and protein are delivered, which somewhat defeats the whole idea of a post-workout drink.

If I have a pint of milk and cerial bar 1hr pre/w, then the malto directly after, and eat the egg whites I recover twice as quick. Mine has about 50g of carbs plus a *load* of B Vits!
