Did I find my TRT dosage?

Doc had put me on typical 200mg every two weeks. I broke it up into 50mg every 3.5 days because of the poor half life reaction after 3 days. I felt okay i guess...

Last shot, Monday, I tried 100mg and have really felt great the past few days. Tomorrow is my next inj and think I'll continue 100mg.

Blood test is coming next month so I'll know more.
Hope the Doc isn't upset that I experimented without his prior approval.

On what day after injection should I schedule the blood work?

Your going to need a full 10 weeks or more to let blood levels even out and to know how your really going to feel. Once youve been on a set dosing scheduled for a good 10 weeks, then I would schedule blood the day before a scheduled injection of the day of an injection if the blood work is done before the test inj.

b4 ur next injection on the same day, and like zyg said u need time for ur blood levels to stabilize usually the check up is made after 3 months.

Thanks y'all. The 3 month visit to doc for blood tests is in December. But the urologist, who wrote the script for cypionate, wants me to check in on the 17th of this month just to see how I feel, ect.
I will inform him that I adjusted the dosage and feel pretty good but not 100% yet.

Question: should I ask him for some hcg so the boys don't shrink? And will that help with more labido?
He's aware of my knowledge of testosterone and HRT over 40.
I'm taking zinc, 50mg 2x day for at least some benefits.
How much can a test vary if I took blood test without an inj for 5 to 7 days? I ask because these guys have that boarderline attitude that low-normal readings will be good enough. The urologist has the personality of a piece of paper, but when I halted his speech promoting androgel and demanded self-injections, he didn't argue. ;]

You don't need to accept working with a doc who believes, "that low-normal readings will be good enough".

I've consulted with numerous docs that are happy if you're at the top of the range

yes ask for HCG 500 iu /week they'll help alot in libido and fertility, and if ur injecting cypionate or enanthate they both peak arround 24-36 hours and start declining so after 5 days ur level will drop decently , if u can manage to skip a shot and test after a week u'll definitely drop too much and ur doc will have to increase ur dosage.

I completely agree and if they give me any shit about it I'll tactfully let them know.
Readings can vary greatly from person to person. The kill-joy attitude I see for Testosterone scripts is absurd...they hand out meds for sleeping and depression like candy. I had to go to the urologist for test, yet when I told my GP I felt a little down one time, he wanted to put me on Cymbalta without seeing anyone else? Unbelievable!
