I am 19 years old and am trying to cut using the CKD method. Please look at my diet and advice me on what I need to add or take away. Thanks

Breakfast:

Meal 1) Whey Protein Shake w/ 1Tbsp Olive Oil
Meal 2) Salad with Ham and Turkey w/ Olive Oil Dressing
Meal 3) Protein Shake w/ 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Meal 4) Salad with Ham and Turkey w/ Olive Oil Dressing
Meal 5) Protein Shake w/ 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Meal 6) Protein Shake w/ 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

I am taking a multi, C, and E with this. Is this an appropriate cutting diet?

Thanks

Hmmm

You need to eat more solid foods. If you keep eating only liquids, you're metabolism will slow way down. Plus, Lyle McDonald (I think it was) had a diet much like this which was an all iquid CKD a couple years back and a couple of people died from it.

So, get rid of the salad. Just eat stuff like beef, chicken, turkey, ham, tuna fish, cheese(not too much and try to stick to low carb varieties such as cheedar).

Then just add lots of fatty toppings to those like the olive oil and mayo and butter, etc.

You have a lot more food options than you are currently working with.

Plus, it sucks to just eat protein shakes all day.

Oh yeah, take a multi vitamin. And get yourself some flax oil or if possible the best would be Udo's Oils.

I find it's really easy to keep track of my ratios by using www.fitday.com you just having to make sure you put in the right serving amounts.

I've heard the solid food raises metabolism more, too. So it's better to eat whole food than protein shakes when dieting? What about bars? Does anyone have any firsthand experience as far as results on food vs. shakes? What if you added a fiber supplement to the shakes?
