Well, its more fun if you wake up with bruises and scrapes are from something *other* than cardio.... :velvett:
EXACTLY....which is why I'm pissed LOL

That's not the case for me unless some ghosts are owning me up without my knowledge... bastards... wake me up please

I love cardio.
I love how it makes me sweat and gets my heart pumping but since im only about 105 lbs and want to gain some muscle I try to only do it about once a week.
Like they said it just depends on your fitness goals.

I'm going to pipe in here and say that i agree with the other (much wiser) ladies in here. Although can speak personally that 6 days/wk cardio has shown AMAZING results for me...in conjunction with weight training. I'm working on losing bundles-o-lard tho. But 4 weeks with cardio 1st thing am...6 days a week=results that i'm actually impressed with. (i'm my worst critique) In agreeance that it's all about your personal goals.

Hi all....so i was wondering how horrible it was to run about 2 miles a day maybe 5 or 6 days a week? I know some people will say that it doesn't give enough time for your muscles to restore but I played soccer for 6 years and am quite used to long distance running. Just curious to what everyone thought. Oh and as a side note, i am starting to weight train 3 days a week.
thanks,
rachel

rachel- I would skip the cardio on your lifting days or do it AFTER. Im currently running 6 days a wk- alternating bet. HIIT (sprints) and walking @ 12% incline. It really depends on your goal- I want to stay lean (12% BF) & not lose muscle mass from heavy weight-training. Also- when i give myself a cheat day- I hit the cardio for no less than an hr.

hope that helps :)

I was running about 5-7 miles a day prior to getting married. I ended up nearly killing myself! I was also teaching aerobics a few nights a week & wt. training, but I attribute the injuries to running. Granted, it was a freakin furnace (July Texas heat) when I got hurt running-BUT-it will eventually kick your ass in some way. Just don't overdo it.
