The Shadow said:So.....right now - you are averaging 1850 cals per day?
Subtract the cals burned from cardio during the week and see how many cals UNDER 1600 per day you are......
Well, you know it doesn't work like that, right? that is misleading.
lets see:
Pintoca BMR: 1800
Pintoca TDEE: 3000
Calories IN: 1800
Calories out: 1800 (BMR) + 1200(difference to TDEE level, or what I burn at the gym).
Daily balance: -1200
Any given day, I am in the negative... this does not mean I "eat" minus cals...
now, the only reason why one should monitor the cals you take daily and keep them about your BMR is solely to avoid the starvation response from your body. You fall in that trap and no amount of cal cutting or increased activity will get you out of the rut. You will need to eat more to get out of it.
As I said before, there are 2 ways to create your weekly deficit:
1. eat less or
2. work more (or a combination of the both)
since there is a limit to how little you can eat (because of said starvation response) you can only play with the activity level, otherwise we would all be eating 500 cals/day, watching tv all day long and sporting abs
anyway, this is just for the academic exercise, let's not forget the real reason of all this, to get Bran ripped for summer so that he can make the most out his new ride

Since we agree on caloric intake (the range actually does), the only thing left to argue is how much cardio should the good man do... my advice, well, start with 3 days/week and see how it goes, when you feel the results are not coming as fast as you want them or you plateau you can either:
1. increase duration (all the way to 45 mins/session)
2. increase intensity
3. increase frequency
Maybe 6 times/week to begin with is something not everybody will be up to and will make them fall off the wagon, so my bad there for recommending that without understanding how motivated he is.
In any case man, the best of success to you, this is not a complicated game, but it is one that requires patience and perseverance so don't desist!!!
