Back from a long break

I'm just starting back at training after a six month break due to illness. During this time I have lost a lot of weight and most likely a hell of a lot of strenght. What is the best way to start back? Should I start traingin like a beginner ie 2 sets per body part for the whole body 3 times a week or what?

I say start with a solid split. You'll get back your strength quickly, you may as well start with a routine that works well, and that you'll stick to.

Maybe I don't understand the question... what sort of routine were you thinking of starting?

I use to do the following split:
Mon - Chest, Tues - Back & Arms, Wednesday - Legs, Thurs - Rest
Fri - Shoulders, Sat - Arms, Sun - Rest
But I thought if I went straight back into that split I would either get over-trained or not train each body part enough. What do you think?

it will suck bad for a few weeks....... but the end result will be better than going back to a beginner.
