2-Week Hiatus...This Sucks!

I'm taking a two-week break from lifting to let my arm heal and to decondition. It sucks! Maj assures me that I won't lose any muscle in such a short period of time (I was worried about atrophy), but still...I miss it.

I feel like a junky. I need my iron fix!

:( But you'll be back soon....healed and stronger! Sometimes that required break is what we need to mentally (and physically) push to the next level. :)

Yeah, I know that, intellectually...but that doesn't mean that I don't get green-eyed with envy while I'm pedaling at the gym, looking over at the lifters! I wanna lift!

This is going to be a l o o o o n n n n g two weeks.

Thanks for the sympathy and reminder, though, Daisy. It helps.

Whoo-hoo! Alright baby! I just had the best freakin' chest workout ever! :p Just awesome!

Oh yeah . . . sorry bout you layoff

Wend is hurt :bawling:

You'll be back soon . . .

:loveyou: :inflate: :dance2:

Thanks, dearheart. That DID help. I still envy y'all who can lift, but at least I felt a little better...and didn't care nearly so much!

("Hey, you meanie, pack me a greenie!")

I made it to my yoga class this morning...I was careful not to put too much weight on my arm. Afterwards, I felt much better. I think it's going to heal up nicely.

hang in there....you'll be back to it soon! Ijust got back from 4 weeks off and I feel great!

Thanks, Gymgirl! That's good to hear. Did you lose much strength with that much time off? I'm worried about going back and having to lighten the weight a whole bunch...

Hey wend, ya know at rest is when you get the most growth...as long as you're getting your protein you might benefit from a couple weeks off. Some might disagree.

I am being careful to keep my protein intake up...I hope you're right.

I just don't want to lose this muscle I've worked so hard for...I know some rest is good, I just don't know how much is too much...and when atrophy begins.
