whole milk and the whole egg

in most of the post i read on this web site, everyone drinks skim milk, and eats egg whites.
i wonder why not the whole egg, and why not whole milk?
and in a most posts, its not a diet issue. so are the folks who drink the skim vs whole milk, and the ones who throw away the yolk doing this for a health reason? and if they are, where are the reasons saying egg yolks are bad along with whole milk being bad?
thanks

animal fat is unhealthy. its bad for your cholesterol profile. so are steroids and huge high protein diets. so to curb that you eat the lean protein sources and get your fats from the healthy sources evoo, nuts ect.

this is the simple form of the answer.

if mass is what you are after and you are not worried about health than i suggest 1-2 doz whole eggs and 1 gal whole milk be included in your daily diet.

no, mass isnt what i'm after at all. i'm 6' 145# of pure bicycle racer..
burning 3-4000 calories on a few rides and a 1000 on other training rides..
lifting is for strength for my bike racing.
i just wanna stay healthy, but often questioned the reasons why some say whole milk is bad and some say it isnt.same with eggs.
3-4-5 eggs a week, or 2-3 -4 glass of whole milk a day.

The Cholesterol Myths

then you read you need fats in your diet to matabolize the protein. so why dring skim milk? where's the fat?
also i read stay as close to earth as possible... years ago, there was no skim milk. stay close to earth meaning drink whole milk like it was meant to be, just like eating the whole egg.

one bad thing about diet, is one world class dietitian says whole milk and whole eggs and another world class dietitian says skim and only egg whites.
. then you get a bleeding ulser worring about whats the correct thing to do.
i coose to stay close toearth

there are 2 different cholesterols. 1 good and 1 bad. you do need the fat that why you use the good fats.

supermarket mils is not close to earth by my asumption of your meaning. its highly processed no matter what kind you drink. if you dont like the 50/50 from the dietitian than go to a doctor or even better a heart doctor and see what percentage of them say their is nothing bad about whole milk and whole eggs or animal fats in general. i personally dont think its a 50/50 either. i see it as more of a 80/20, 80 being the people that view the yolks and whole milk as bad.

Besides the fat in them, I really do not like the taste of whole milk. I've used skim and 1% milk for a very long time. As for the yolks, I just do not like the yolk. I hate the taste and smell of the yolks.

A guy I used to crossfit with consumed nothing but steak and whole milk for a month and his strength went through the roof. This has nothing to do with what it might have done to his health, but just sayin.

i went about a year where i ate at least 1lb of beef, 1lb of buffalo, 1 doz eggs, and a lot of milk every day. their muscle development properties are unmatched.

after my heart complications my doctor told me a few basic things. easy long cardio, drop the weight, drop the sterods, and drop the milk fat, beef, and egg yolks from my diet. he also advised a lot more on my diet but the strain the above mentioned foods made on the heart was mentioned multiple times. this was the heart doctor not my reg doctor.

i have a family friend who had a heart attack and lived. he was advised to avoid these foods for the rest of his life.

im convinced.

Joe your case was definitely extreme. I don't think this bicycle racer is going to start consuming a dozen eggs for breakfast anytime soon. LOL. That said, I believe in balance. I have eggs every morning but I have one whole one and 5 or 6 whites. I drink 1% milk. I LIKE whole milk but for me its just about switching some of the things I like for "less bad" choices. Again, if your only talking about the milk in your cereal bowl every morning then it's probably not going to kill you. If you are eating otherwise healthy and exercising I don't see a couple of eggs and some whole milk killing you. Now, if you're eating at wendy's and mcattack's everyday and you have an affinity for donuts then you can't blame it on the eggs. It makes me laugh when someone who's eating a cupcake tells me I shouldn't eat so many eggs. Who's going to die first?
