I grew up with everything, private schools, cars/snowmobiles/boats...Lake House (a palace)..Ski Condo right on the Mountain.
Grew up a spoiled , was never taught the value of hard work.

Went through some trying times as an adult financially recently by my own doings.Almost had to sell the house just as I had a kid, savings blown etc etc .
I've learned you need to work for every penny you earn. I also am learning you don't become rich without stepping on a few peoples toes.

Kinda a good/bad/recovering/learned from all aspects type life

funny...but in my situation I was starving.

Was in that same situation and when I realized they take a percentage of your coins I was so pissed

I used to think I was poor. Then I visited Nepal and China.

I have always had clothes to wear and a roof over my head, so I can't complain. Now I have had times when a hundred bucks had to last me two weeks trying to feed a family of four

Damn...some of these stories are eye-opening. I have never been poor; closest I've come is during school, not having the kind of cash on hand to buy people nice Christmas presents (I remedied that by doing a few debt collections for some bad people I knew back then...my pride wouldn't allow me to just give tiny gifts). I think I'll thank my dad out of the blue for the great childhood I had when I swing by there later today; the struggles some of you have had as kids makes me appreciate how well he provided for us all the more.
