Hey guys.........Just wondering what bodyparts you train together. Ive just started training shoulders with chest but once i do military press after chest the weight used really suffers. My routines at the moment really suck.....just wonderin what you guys do to increase mass and strength.
Cheers

i keep my overhead presses and heavy benching on separate days. i've tried them on the same day, and which ever one i did second really suffered.

but, i do think i'm a bit of a "delt" bencher, so that could be part of it.

what does seem to work for me is to do a couple of sets of incline db presses on overhead press day at the end of my workout. the OH presses kind of pre-exaust my delts, and i get a nice burn in my pecs.

train on.:)

My current routine looks like this:

Monday
Chest, Triceps, Abs

Tuesday
Back, Biceps, Calves

Wednesday
Light cardio, Abs

Thursday
Quads, Hams, Lower back

Friday
Delts, Traps, Calves

Saturday
Off

Sunday
Off

I've tried several routines in the past and this has worked best for me in terms of scheduling, recovery, growth, and musclegroup pairing.

Here's my routine:
day 1: chest, tri's
day 2: back, shoulders
day 3: off
day 5: quads, calves
day 3: hams, bi's

I had a buddy of mine introduce me to this routine, it's worked pretty damn good so far.

monday: Chest, abs cardio
tuesday: tris, bis and abs cardio
wed: Shoulders cardio
thrusday: Legs, abs cardio
friday: Back, abs cardio
saturday: Cardio, abs cardio
sunday: Die on my couch all day

So many people do their chest and tri's together. I think it would be a good idea for a lot of people to give their arms an extra day. In fact I have an extra day for tri's all together.
