Training after being sick (how long)

i have never waited long to workout after being sick, just wondering how long you guys wait. i'm not talking about the common cold, more on the lines of the flu, a bad cold, stomach flu or virus etc. i had some sort of flu for about 36 hours, and it was gone when i woke up, i feel pretty good now, weak from not eating and puking, but pretty good. what do you all do on these occasions? wait a few days to get your strength back, or just go back at it even though you've been puking and not eating for the past day and a half. i have always jumped back into it, but it takes a while to get back to 100% do you guys and gals wait until your 100% to go back?

Give yourself at least 24 hours of feeling perfectly healthy before going back in. 48 is even better because even when you start feeling better, your body is still fighting off the disease.
