Wrap the bar with 2 small towels for your hands- sort of like towel chin-ups- get more forearm activation (to build grip strength) as well as avoid the sweat issue.

Knock out two birds with 1 stone.
 
good stuff on the hand towells Ill try that next time - does double overhand or switch grip matter all that much for my purposes (work the lower back)

everything is moving in the right direction here - traveling for work today so diet could be sketchy

got home late last night and the OL had bought steaks in bulk from a traveling salesman

$300 for 12 cases of steaks and chicken breasts - i told her never again LOL who knows if the crap is any good but im gonna have steak and eggs for breakfast in a few minutes LOL

here is the work

Squats 5x5 145
Bench Press 4x12 120
Bent Over Rows 4x12 100
French Press 5x12 30
 
Yeh those salespeople have markups lol because they gotta get paid.

And the grip doesn't really matter- people are stronger with a switched grip as opposed to double over.
 
had a great workout yesterday but diet has been a little sketchy - weekends with the family kill me - its not that I dont have self control I just want to enjoy myself with the wife and kiddos
been doing p90x for cardio lately so thats plyometrics on tuesdays and kenpoX on thursday
plyo is a killer and kenpo is just a lame cardio kickboxing kind of workout
I'd like to start adding in pullups to the routine is this overkill? I'm doing high pulls and bent over rows 1 -2 times a week
 
Nah work up to pull ups tho- ex I do anywhere from 30-60 BW pull-ups 6x a week. But I started with just like 10-15 every other day, then upped to like 30 every other day. Then added an extra day...etc
 
i was feeling extra beastly this morning so I thought I'd add 3x5 on the pullups to my routine , I gave a 1 minute rest between sets to keep things moving and low and behold I cranked them out with no problem :)
I guess all those bent over rows are doing something LOL
I guess I will try and do pullups 2-3 times a week and work my way up to 5x5 then re assess as to whether I need to add weight
Everything else went well - pull ups - bench press - bent over rows and squats
 
by the way I grilled up some delicious tenderloin steaks the other day - maybe wifey did good ordering all those meats LOL

did kenpoX today from the p90x series - nice little cardio kickboxing but not all that hard 45 min all total

bu24 made some nice looking eggs the other day so i followed in suite and here is what she looked like
2 eggs 2 egg whites
ground beef
4 cubes of jalepano cheese
and cant forget the texas pete!

mmmm mmmmm good
