Currently I am in my 14th week of accutane treatment it is going fairly well I am on my maximum dose from my doc (200mg/day) and the results aren't what I expected but decent as I said...I have mild acne on my back and my face is alrite...But I've been putting off my cycle for a while now because of the treatment...How will juicing affect my glands and recovery of the treatment will it hasten it/make it longer/or have no effect at all???

what do you guys reccomend and what would the affects of the test be on my liver values???

Thanks,

Dankdukes

ISOTREX gel (accutane gel) and 2% nizoral on the affected areas will work wonders. and is all topical.

Thats a tough question, the gear or clomid will almost surely poduce some acne... I know some people here does both accutane treatment and cycles but I wouldnt do that, accutane alone is harsh on the liver so dong gear with it isnt too good.

I would go with Freak on this one, dorp accutane if you really want to do a cycle and take topical meds.

Good luke !

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't ISOTREX Gel not-available in the U.S.....you would have to purchase it from a foreign source...does that seem about right ? I asked my doc about the gel at one point, and she had no idea...she even looked in the "big" book of drugs

Do NOT stop and "like take something else".

DO the whole regimen. THAT is the way to do accutane.

Now I dont think you would have a huge problem as long as you are not doing many orals in a cycle, this would add to liver stresses. Also, I would be sure to get regular blood tests to check lipid profiles and all. Accutane will stress that enough on its own - and if you take AS, that may get worse.

But for god's sake - you have goive 14 weeks already, finish the full Accutane cycle of 4-6 months. Its worth it and THATs the way to get the LONG term effects of Accutane.

By the way, Accutane works more dramtically for people wih worse acne, the ones with the deep cysctic kid. If you acne is relatively mild it may take a bit long to see teh poistive effects.

Keep going! Dont "substitute:" some topical stuff, I dont care WHAT it is, it ios NOT the same., You are NOW running a systemic treament which wil help to eliminate (or at least GREATLY reduce) your acne problems FOREVER! All topicals are versions of doing like clearasil or whatever. Go go - finish the regimen!

Nice attitude.

Who said he did not really need to use Accutane? Sounds to me like he decided to maybe solve hios acne problem forever, and is already well on his way to doing that. My suggestion was that he stick with that plan, and get real results.

Using Accutane the REAL way, for the full regimen, provides a SYSTEMIC soultion to the problem that will have long-term benefits. He may only have to maybe 3-4 more weeks for such a benefit. Stopping now, and using some topical solution, is a waste of time and effort.

I say if you start something, finish it, if you are going to do something, do it right.
