Nope ... WG doesn't not make equivalent to GS in the same grade, e.g. as WG 8 step 1 doesn't compare to a GS-8 step 1.

Totally different pay scale geared for blue collar workers based on an hourly wage that follow different T&A regs including night differntial.

Although in some parts an Equipment Operator can break 6 figures with OT.
