Slimjim's LOG

seems everyone is starting a log (so they can fit the summer swim suit). So, I think I will start mine.

I am slim, so need to put on some pounds and maybe some muscle.
drink beer, no less than 4 quality beers / day, and several of my lesser friends.
Eat what I want, when I want and hope it stays on. Problem is, it all turns to sugar, and I burn sugar. More I eat, more I burn. Eh.
exercise? OK, still working on the rotator cuff so weights, moderate on arms. Don't know all the terms, but need to strengthen the shoulders and upper arms as they have done NADA for a year. Legs, ski and bike when the skiing is done
MORE BEER !

what you think?

BTW, I think I got into the wrong forum. Oh well, enjoy and leave me to my food and beer.

So - what would you say your goals are?? Do you want to add muscle??

Normally, when one goes into a period of adding muscle, fat will be added as well....simply happens...

Now when it comes to alcohol - it really isn't healthy to drink everyday. The body cannot burn the food you eat properly in the presence of alcohol as it will attempt to burn off the alcohol first and will simply not process the food as effectively.

Hmm, goals? I hate exercise for exercise, so goals are tough. Need to store carbos for endurance and have enough to survive skiing 7 hours hard, or cycling for 100 miles and not die at the end. Tough to store carbs when you burn sugar fast. Protien comes and goes FAST.
adding muscle would be good, but, have to work at it and schedule and going to gym don't make it.

I'll try to stay in touch to see what I have done. ski for now. Cycle starting in May and hope I can build to a century or two.
