do any of you implement shock workouts every once and a while in your program?
Im just curious as to what sort of results people get opinions on the benefit of doing them.
Yesterday on my bis, tris and forearms day, i did a shock workout on my biceps and forearms.
I did:
-5x5 of barbell curls
-2x10 of hammer curls
-3x8 of EZ bar curls
-8x7 of wrist curls
-5x10 of reverse wrist curls
After one of my last wrist curl sets i ran to the bathroom and threw up, my arms felt numm, i physically couldnt move my hands and i wasnt even able to hold a cup of water or lift a 3 litre milk carton out of fridge. Today my arms are just really sore.
Will this shock principle help to create additonal growth in muscles? or is it just a form of overtraining?
