I know powders are cheaper, but they are messy, time-consuming, etc. If you had the money to stock up on premixed bottled protein drinks (like the kind you buy at the gym after a workout for $4-5), which is the best?
I don't take them but American Bodybuilding brand has 55 grams of protein in each drink. Myoplex also makes a bunch of different ones. Best bet is to search dpsnutrition.com, bodybuilding.com, massnutrition.com, advantagesupplements.com, or allsportnutrition.com for the best one. Search under RTD (ready to drink) protein shakes.
There is one out called the extreme smoothie (choc) that tastes great. It's made by VHT. 35g protein and 5g carbs. It's the size of a regular soda can so it's convenient for traveling.
Isopure is great, they've got plenty of flavors . American Body Building has got 1 to fit your need. Some GNC's are a great place to get them. Myoplex offers the best 1 of all.Low carb ,Lite , and my favorite. Something about milk in protien is the best I feel. I use half and half when available. A powder is the next best thing too. Why not put protien powder in a shaker bottle and fill it up after work out . It's cheaper too. They say your body does'nt digest any more then 40 grams of protien per serving.
Agreed. It's the easiest to chug, tastes good. Doesn't even seem like protein drink. Only thing is the glass bottles make it so heavy and expensive to ship. The powder version is abosolutely horrendous, no comparison.
Just so you know at 24hr fitness right now the rapid recovery drinkgs (35 grams whey isolate, 50+ grams of good carbs, 10g glucose, overall good mix) are on sale for 99 cents, at least at my location
24 hour fitness hasn't made it to my part of the USA yet. I know they're big in CA though. I think I'll go with ABB Pure Pro, 22oz. x 20/case. But I'll still keep looking for Isopure Zero Carb for best prices online.
