this is a whole peer pressure thing, so i know everyone will say "why do you care what other people think?" thing is i dont give a shit, but it gets annoying to the point i dont even want to go out when i tell people "im not drinking" or "i dont drink". im not a huge bodybuilder, and you wouldnt know i do much more than "work out", but the thing is i feel great being healthy and lifting and looking forward to improvement my next workout because i plan on getting much farther than i am. what do you guys tell people when you're out and theyre constantly hounding you when you aren't drinking? drinking also gives me acne for some reason, and i feel like shit the next day. it just does nothing for me and i have no reason to waste my money on it, but everyone's obsessed with it.

Nothing is wrong with going out and having fun once in a while...shit, that is what life is all about. But, getting fucked up 7 days a week isn't the right way to live life either. Get out once and a while, get away from training, dieting and your "routine" once in a while - it will do ya some good to blow off some steam. Shit, we are bodybuilders not saints.

if you dont want to drink and they are pressuring you, tell them to F themselves. It sounds like you are doing better Markshark...

glad to see that you are trying to live healthy

I tell them i'm already on a bunch of painkillers (which is true half the time) and don't want anymore liver stress or the complications of mixing two downers

You know bor, I'm a recovering alkie, people know I've stopped drinking and still ask if I want one. It'll never stop. You'll be looked at like a loser if you ever say you juice (if you do), you'll usually be looked at like you're a loser if you're on drugs or smoke, but if you say you don't want a drink, people act like you have cancer and wonder WTF is wrong. If you feel great not doing it, don't. And good job not givcing into peer pressure. No matter how old you get, it's still there.

i used to drink so much it caused lots of problems in my life.....going to the bar was what we did (death metal bands can outdrink anyone - anytime, i promise)....it was our life.....i ruined many relationships b/c of it

now, i just don't even go out at all for that very reason....sick of the monotony.....not only does it keep me from drinking, but i can be around humans for long, esp a lot of drunk ones.....and i don't care to listen to people who like hearing themselves talk

now, where's the beautiful bunnies in this joint?
