Just another PR announcement

Was feeling so peaved at all the PR announcements on the Training board. So peaved that I thought I should set at least one myself.

Yesterday I pulled a 315 dead. This was after spending the entire damn day bedridden from a migraine. And I felt like I could have pulled 320. Next time.

And while I didn't hit any one rep PR in bench, was able to do the following last week: 145x5 and two sets of 155x3. I'm working on speed at the moment. Next week, I'm trying my hand at 175. Been able to slam out a rep before, next week I'm trying for two comfortable reps.

Been feeling incredibly strong lately. I've picked up my protein, cut down the beer (a bit), and have also picked up my HIIT sessions. I'm thinking this is working.

Just thought I'd share. :)

Wow! I think I just got a kick in the ass! In a good way, of course. That's a great pull Slinky!

Awesome deadlift slinky!!!!!

And I was feeling so good about my PR on the dead-as Rosanne Rosanna would say "never mind"-valerie

Thank you, thank you my illustrious elite-o-mites.

I'm thinking the improvement on the dead was due to the tire deads we perform so regularly in strongman training. The tires are generally 3-4 inches wider than normal 45-pound plates. That makes me work my weakpoint; the lockout. I have no problem at the initial pull of the dead.

More deads from pins and more tire deads will make hitting 350 just a short time away. :)
