Jenscats Crazy in 2006 Log

Well, it's now 2006!!! And the start for me of a crazy season of activity!!

Weight today was 146.... :worried: Will weigh myself again January 11th.
Body fat: no clue

Competiton goals: June 17, July 15, August 26 and Sept.....and maybe October 1st..... I learned after this years shows not to buy a lot of stuff for afterwards cuz if it's in the house I have to eat it.....so post-show festivities will be held at a restaurant for a once/fun/done thing....

For now - my goals are to retain or add some muscle and train for endurance....Weight program will be in the gym while at home and a whatever I can come up with routine while away. Will wear my HR monitor for skiing & work on my TUT while in the "tuck" mode.

I leave tomorrow for another 7 days of skiing - will be skiing everyday, possibly take some lessons & will try to eat for that and avoid Happy Hours.

Meals in that time will be egg whites/oatmeal for breakfast & whatever I can fit into my fanny pack during the day......may actually get on a race course by season's end!!

Supps: Glucosamine/Chondroiten, Multi, B-Complex, Sesamax, Cardio Breeze, Glucorell, and Glutamine.

Jen is that July 15th show the Delaware St/East Coast that Bruce Thompson runs?

**Today: HR monitor didn't work right & my "diet" is the see-food diet.....Ugh!!

As a friend told me....I need to unfuck this diet SOON!!

But I did a Double Black Diamond Slope today that I was PETRIFIED of last year without falling...so Yay me!!

Oh and I'm not sleeping....Ugh!
 
889 cals today....powder day = leg day.....whew! My quads are SORE...

Still tired....

*Only* 2 beers today - no alcohol tonite.....

I may be doing that show, the only problem there is a show in Jersey the same day run by a good promoter as well.
 
Summary of the past week: Not good..... did ok on breakfast & lunch....oats + egg whites for breakfast, rice + salsa + chicken in a baggie for lunch + some granola bars or peanuts....

Nite time/dinner was the hard part for me as all my friends are big drinkers and I found it hard to resist the tempatations.....So - the drinking was my downfall...

Ordered some more Glucorell & Sesapure today as I ran out....

Elliptical - 20 mins
Walk home (in the rain!) - 30 mins
HR Monitor shows 501 cals burned

Leftover salad + dressing thinned with vinegar
1 package GG Italian Style Veggies
1 chicken breast stuffed with feta & spinach
1 roll with a little Smart Balance

3 caps Glutamine

1 Diet 7up
8 Ginger Snap cookies

**Today is court day....finally have to go from when my car was hit 1 year ago but they don't allow phones or food in the courthouse - so I can't plan meals today....

1 travel mug coffee + 3 packet splenda + 2 tblsp. FF Creamer

2/3 cup oats + 2 packets Splenda + apple pie spice + blueberries

7:45am - Walk to courthouse; 30 mins

9:15am - Walk home via Riverfront; 45 mins

10:30am - Went shopping - grocery store, Costco....

~ 12:30pm - Lunch at Don Pablo's
Mahi-Mahi soft tacos (2) on corn tortillas, guac (scant 1/4 cup I think), rice & Charra Beans

~ 6:30pm
Baked chicken + stir fry veggies + HOT sauce

You're friend sounds pretty cool! lol ...and supportive, which is awesome!!!

Good for you for not falling!!! Just the thought of skiing scares the crap out of me. Something about sliding down a hill on 2 sticks just dosen't quite sit will in my brain!!! lol Maybe it's the Sonny Bono memory. I could, however, chute out of a plane. :)

Grrrrr....hate it when I can't sleep. You have some stuff rolling around over and over causing you to be restless? Good luck with it. Hope it passes soon!

Hey thanks!! I'm the opposite of you - I don't see any reason to jump out of a perfectly good airplane....

The Sonny Bono thing was a shame - which is why I wear a helmet and make sure I'm always in control.....plus I try not to ski slopes too far out of my range....
