I Need To Lose Weight

That was my workout plan, 3x a week. Now I've switched to the following:

10 Reverse Ab Crunches
10 Ab Crunches
10 Pushups
10 Ab Bicycles

Repeat 2x for an altogether 3 sets. I'm 228.6 lbs and I want to lose weight to 180 the minimum by September (school starts). I'm 5'8 and doubt I can grow anymore. Why? I'm allergic to fruits, pollen, and bug bites.

Therefore, my diet cannot consist of fruits. Also, I run a very busy school schedule. Travel to school takes 1 hour. Therefore, I just grab a bagel with cream cheese and run. Here's the breakup of my *diet*.

Morning
I wake up at 6 and grab a plain bagel with cream cheese at 7 after a 10 minute walk to the train station.

Lunch
At 10:50 I grab a pizza/cheeseburger with potato wedgies/french fries and 8 ounces of milk.

2nd Lunch
At 3 I get a bagel with cream cheese again OR a egg and cheese sandwich, a Brisk Iced Tea, 2 bags of chips, and sometimes a Welch's fruit snacks.

Dinner
I really don't actually eat dinner, save for a few things I eat here and there and munch on.

I'd like to use basically 60 pounds in 3 months. That's 20 pounds per month. I doubt it's even reasonable, but at this point, I'm working for a muscular body and the fat has to go. Enough's enough I've decided. I'm not going to get in shape just by wishing I got into shape. I have to actually work at it.

I'd like any changes possible. However, the times of food cannot change. I'm in a seriously desperate situation, as a deli is my only source of food @ 3.

I'm still a workout noobie myself, but I have lost a lot of weight so far so I'll just throw in my 2 cents.

First and foremost, your diet needs a complete overhaul. Have to eat 5-6 times a day of clean food. Just because you are allergic to fruit doesn't mean you can't eat healthy and you should eat burgers/pizza/chips. There are many great posts already regarding good foods to eat and I recommend looking at them and basing your entire goal of losing weight around EATING and BEING healthy. Exercise will only take you so far, but if you are eating poorly then you are really just wasting your workouts.

Secondly, I'm not sure if I'm missing something but I don't see any cardio on your routine. When I first started off, I was doing cardio 6 times a week but only like 20-25 min because I just didn't have the stamina. Fast forward sometime and I was up to 6 times a week at 50 min. Finally, after plateauing for a few weeks I learned the importance of lifting when it comes to losing weight and I do 4 days a week of lifting + 30 min cardio after and 2 days of just 45 min cardio.

I didn't really get into many specifics because your diet and exercise plan should fit your lifestyle. Some things that others do I cannot due to restraints, but I manage to adapt and use my own plan.

If you are serious about losing weight, then go for it man. I never thought I was a "depressed" person, but after losing so much weight you feel so much better and have a greater outlook on life and I might as well have been depressed because of how much better I am doing now than I was back in August.

Good luck with your goals and I hope you reach them.

I never saw as Cardio actually being anything serious. However, on Monday and Friday we play Handball and European Team Handball/Speedball in Gym for approximately 1:10. I play goalie in European Team Handball/Speedball and then do a little running in the sidelines.

However, to me, Cardio has never been serious. Maybe if I knew more about it and the benefits I could appreciate it more?

Do yourself a HUGE favor and download the E-Book "Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle"-by Tom Venuto.

Read it cover to cover...twice lol

It is the MOST important book you can read when just starting out!

defin need to change the diet.. the burgers/pizza defin. gotta got. id get into the habbit of maybe getting meals planned for the next day the night before since you so far away from home and taking them with you. i can tell you u need to cut the bagels out probably as well.

so to simplify
New diet
add some brisk walking for 45min every other day or if you cant manage that length yet work up to it.. eventually add an incline to it.
keep working out and striving to do more.. if 10 crunches was to easy add 5 more. vary your push ups as well. put your legs on a high surface so your at and angle and do them.
make your goal to do pull ups or if u can do them add them to your routine..

i wouldnt say this guys diet is perfect or for you but it will give you an idea of what you might wanna try

Well see, I'm a complete beginner. This thing confuzzles me, and I don't want to make any decisions. What I wish was if somebody would just clearly outline what I have to do.

I TOLD YOU HOW TO HAVE IT OUTLINED!

If you dont buy the E-Book "Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle" when first beginning you are wasting alot of time.

It breaks down ALL of the basics.

I know, and I'm reading it. The major problem I have is that it just doesn't give me a food plan to follow. That's exactly what I need.

There are basic meal plans in the book. Along with lists of foods to eat and never eat. Also motivational tips and every basic you need. You should not be skimming looking for a quick fix, you should be trying to learn as much as possible and it is not going to be learned by us just handing you all of the answers and doing all of the work for you. You also need to learn why we plan our meals the way we do, you need to leanr the macro ratios and why your body works the way it does.
