I am officially comin' out of hidin'...:) I have goofed off long enough and it's time to get serious...i've posted a few times, but for the most part i just kinda' lurk...i have gotten lazy lately and i feel just plain sluggish....i am determined to make some fabuloso progress by xmas time. i figured this was the best place to find some massive motivation and support...so i'm sure i'll be buggin' all y'all girls with my questions.:) I'm gonna' post my diet and let y'all critique it since it's the hardest thing for me...first off, here's a little bit about me. i'm 5'3", 140, bf% is probably around 25%...i know...UGGGHHHH, right?
my goal is to get down to around 12% eventually and gain some muscle. i work fulltime at a job where i sit on my ass all day long...here's a look at my diet from yesterday:

M1 - 3 egg whites/1 whole egg boiled
1/3 cp oats
Multivitamin
M2 - 2 tbsp. nat PB
1 large banana
M3 - 4 oz. chicken breast
1/2 cp. black beans
1/2 cp. corn
M4 - 1 small bag funyuns...(whoops)
M5 - 4 oz. chicken breast
1 cup broccoli
M6 - 1 cup cottage cheese
1 med. peach

I hope to learn a lot more from you guys and feel free to rip me a new a-hole if i'm not doing what i'm supposed to be doing...:)

Oh yea, I do cardio 3-4x week and weights 5 days a week splitting up body parts.
 
hey spatterson...

thx for replying so quickly...as for my workouts...i TRY to do my cardio (usually walking or bike) first thing in the morning for an hour. That's a BIG try because I'm not a morning person...
as for weights, i usually do those in the afternoon after work and i usually do chest/tris, back/bis, shoulders, legs...i do about 2-3 exercises per body part.
since i'm at work all day, what are some snacks that i can eat that will include more green veggies? and should i add a protein shake somewhere in there?
 
Hi Fit1....just wanted to tell you I enjoyed your post !!! Your b/f and weight doesnt sound as bad as you say.....at all.

Do follow Spattersons advice on diet .....she is A-OK in that field ;) and others...... hee hee

Show us what your workout schedule looks like.....so we can rip ya a new A-hole in that area !!!! :)

And by the way, those funyuns sounded to me like a nice break from the dull other stuff ;)
 
I hear ya on the funyuns.....been sticking to a clean diet myself the last two weeks, and I slipped this morning with a smores pop tart for breakfast.....ahhhh sugar !!!!! Of course, tonight I will rip myself a new A-Hole in the gym to make up for that sinful treat !!

Remember while working out, to lift heavy..... challenge yourself each week and go up in weight. That will help get your metabolism speeding up......and remember cardio in the morning on an empty tummy......

Anyhow my 2 cents worth.....and I will now let the other gals rip into ya :)

Glad you posted---its a fun board.....with lots of learning of course. Ask all the questions you need---its the only way to learn ;)

WOW!!! Great job on your loss...do you have any recent pics anywhere??? and nope...unfortunately, we don't have a fridge OR a freezer here.:(
