The retractable hardtop is gonna add at LEAST 300 lbs.

But at least you can justify these 300lbs unlike the Solstice which is just overweight.

Btw I doubt it would add 300lbs. While not being retractable, I remember being told that the removable hardtop for the S2000 added only 45lbs. So a retractable would be closer to 150lbs maybe 200lbs max.

They weight almost 300lbs more than a Miata for about the same engine output. I'd wait a few months and get the new Miata with retractable hardtop.

There's also an available 260bhp turbo I4 that's considerably faster than the Miata.

The reviews on the convertible top are not favorable though.

But more expensive About 8k more and a GM. Meaning you wait one year and can buy it used for 30-40% less lol

I think it's very unlikely there'll sell more than a few during the first months for MSRP. I suspect the turbo Solstice is going to end up being a great value. I just wish the top werent so low rent. Maybe they'll improve in a year or two.
