FUCK east indians

i make 8.25/hr but they tax your reported tips, so for a 25 hrs in 2 weeks, that would be 206.25, but they tax your tips so if your tips were 300, you would get:

$206 MINUS whatever the tax would be on $506 bucks

ends up being like 140 bucks or some stupid shit

There can be only one solution:

Apricot Seeds.

But think about how much better they are using your money than you would. You'd probably just waste it, whereas the gubment is investing that money for you!

We should just eliminate them all then.

Wait staff in sit-down restaurants are paid at a rate that is considerably less than Minimum Wage. It's expected that they'll make up for it in tips. Supposedly the savings are passed along to the customer, over what they'd have to pay if wait staff were actually paid a living wage.

Well, they chose a low-paying career. Not like people in sales *expect* everyone to buy their product for a premium; they chose a consignment-based career they think they can excell at.

My problem is that every waiter/waitress thinks they are entitled to high tips. I thought the purpose was to reward exceptional service, not shitty to mediocre service.

We need to eliminate tips and set them all to minimum wage to eliminate this entitled unique butterfly syndrom.

I totally agree. I went out last night and asked for a refill on my soda. Never got it, but I felt obligated to give a decent tip.

That's really more your problem than a problem with tipping in general. The purpose is to reward great service and if you reward poor service, that waiter has no reason to change.

I usually tip about 20%, but I have no problem leaving a shitty tip if I get shitty service and neither should you. Sometimes I'll even write down why they got a shitty tip on the receipt so they know.

That's just how it is. Don't feel guilty.

But IMO an over-attentive waiter is way worse than an under-attentive one. You know, that annoying ass waiter that talks to you about life like your friends and takes it upon themselves to sit down with you. You're my waiter, not my friend. Get up.
