I'm too well versed in the atkins diet, but from what I understand, the diet works but it is best suited for less active people (people who do not train).

I would consider structuring your own diet with some of the atkins principles. I beleive that you would need more carbs than atkins allows, to keep up strength for your training.

Do you have re-feeds on atkins?

whats re-feeds? im gonna cheat about once a week. right now, im not interested in gaining strength, just maintaining. once i know for sure i can get down to 6-7% BF on this diet, im gonna bulk to 200 pounds, then go for 180 6-7% BF. im sure it will work. i just need a real good bulking diet :o

on CKD you have re-feeds once a week, day were you consume large quantities of carbs to restore glycogen levels, that way you are not drained of energy and can continue training. I guess your cheat day can be considered a refeed depending on what you eat.
