On a saturday i increase my calories by around 400.

Any advice, as in how to keep the fat burning and gain a lean abs instead of my current life less abs. Thanks for all your help so far to get me to this point.

Weights and a good diet are all you need to build a solid physique in my opinion. Nothing against anyone who choses to use steroids, just not really necessary at your stage of development.

If I were you I'd wait with the cutting until you put on another 20 pounds of lean body mass. Increase the calories as needed and cut back if you see some fat gain. Losing fat now to get a six pack would put you down into the 160's, which at 6 feet tall would make you look leaner than you should. More muscle means a faster metabolism and better fat burning mechanisms.

If you insist on cutting now, try to train heavy and increase your strength in core lifts as much as you can and set a goal to lose no more than 1/2 to 1 pound of fat per week. You really don't want to see that much of a drop in scale weight. Hope that helped some. Good luck!

i agree and i believe he should also up his fat intake
add more healthy fats
even if it is just a tablespoon of extra virgin olive/flax/peanut/coconut oil with each meal

Cheers guys. My lifts have been good, on some exrecises my poundage has gone up, i.e deadlift. so thats positive.

I get what you say about the weight, at 6 foot and 176lbs your right i'm not huge but i'm looking good and feeling great, going on holiday in 9 weeks and want to look my best, lower the bodyfat the better i will look. i'm hoping to keep the diet going for another 4-5 weeks then keep on the test and slowly withdraw the win. maybe start to increase muscle mass a little.

Cheers for the advice.
